Sound Search for Google Play is a music search application for Android.
Originally released in the more recent versions of Android, Sound Search for Google Play is a widget that works similar to apps like Soundhound or Shazam where it listens to the music playing and attempts to find out what is playing.
Sound Search for Google Play links to the Google Play Store so you can purchase the music that is recognized, but like most US stores, international music is difficult to find.
The app does a good job recognizing small excerpts of music and it's great as a widget, but having it on a homescreen can take up space. Sound Search for Google Play's only real problem is the amount of music it can recognized on Google Play Music so while you may have songs you want to purchase, they may not be in the Android store.
